I will always remember Dick's (and Rosemarie's) kindness when I was at ND and after. I have great memories of hanging out in his fantastic basement and shooting pool with John, Jan and Jim and little Jamie

Dick Garis was one of South Bend's finest citizens! I enjoyed our friendship immensely and that of his son Jim and Marianne as well. He will serve god well in his new surroundings, as I am sure he has gone to heaven!! May you rest in peace my friend!
