Kaniewski Funeral Home has been in business for over ninety-eight years and is in its fifth generation of service to our community. We are also Michiana's largest family-owned funeral home with seven family members currently employed and two retired. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment. "Fewer than 4 percent of businesses make it to the fourth generation, and fifth generations are so rare that there's no research on how often families make it," according to Ernesto Poza, professor of global family enterprises at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, AZ.

Congregation of Holy Cross & Holy Cross College

Kaniewski Funeral Home has the distinction of being the exclusive funeral service provider to the Congregation of Holy Cross at the University of Notre Dame and Holy Cross College.

Veterans & Family Memorial Care Program

Kaniewski Funeral Home was personally selected by the Veterans & Family Memorial Care Program to be their St. Joseph County representative. We are the only funeral home in the area to have this honor.
