Jerry D. Willoughby, 84, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017, in Northwood Village, Mishawaka, Indiana.  He was born on October 30, 1933, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Harold and Marie (McCammon) Willoughby.  On March 27, 1953, he married Marilyn Ann Fair, who survives.  He is also survived by two daughters, Shelly (Bill) Wagoner and Lori (Chuck) Kelly, both of South Bend, Indiana; one son, Doug (Sue) Willoughby of North Riverside, Illinois; five grandchildren, Aja (Rob) Harber, Jerry (Katie) Willoughby, Casey Willoughby, Chad (Britt) Albert, Marybeth (Josh) Parsons; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna Miller and Donna (Tom) Lochmondy; and two brothers, Bruce (Sharon) Willoughby and Greg (Cherie) Willoughby.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brett Albert.  Jerry retired from the Bendix Corporation, where he was employed as a program scheduler.  He was an Army veteran, and a member of the Moose Lodge.  Jerry was a little league baseball coach in 1964, and people still talk about his coaching today.  He loved the Chicago Cubs, and enjoyed country music and coffee time with his buddies.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.  Jerry looked forward to going to Arizona every spring to watch the Chicago Cubs. He and his wife traveled the whole United States. Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, Indiana.  A funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jerry’s memory may be made to Grace Hospice or Epworth Memorial United Methodist Church.  To send online condolence, please visit www.kaniewski.com.
