Glenna K. Davis

Glenna K. Davis, 91, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on October 13, 2017 at the Sanctuary at Holy Cross. She was born on January 22, 1926 in Hibbard, Indiana, to the late Glenn and Kathryn (Overmyer) Reed.  On November 2, 1973, she married Wilfred Davis, who preceded her in death in 2008. Glenna is survived by her son, Scott L. (Diana) Shuey of South Bend, Indiana; two granddaughters, Abbie (Barry) Poisson of Indianapolis, Indiana and Carly (Adam) Schwelnus of South Bend, Indiana; four great-grandchildren, Ava, Abrahm, Zeke and Asher; and one grandson, Brandon Scott of Louisville, Kentucky.  Glenna loved her work as a teacher. She was a loving wife and mother, and she absolutely loved being a grandma and great-grandma. She was very active in her church, where she loved being a member of the choir. She was an avid baker and known for her amazing pie making skills. Visitation will be on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, IN. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Private burial will take place in Burr Oak Cemetery.
