I really am pleased with your services. So often visiting other places I am amazed at their overall state - you keep your facility up so well. Every staff member goes beyond kindness and always knows or quickly finds answers to questions. You gave us a beautiful final look at mom. She like so many through covid was rough around the edges yet she appeared lovely - thank-you.
I wish more people were relaxed about pre arranged - I did mine 2 weeks after Mike passed and am at peace knowing my children will not be pressured (not that you do) with all the decisions.

Dear Greg,

When I was a young child, my brother and I were friends with some members of the Kaniewski family. We went to church together. Back in the early 1980s, the most exciting thing about knowing the Kaniewski's was the free Pac-Man arcade game located in the children's lounge at the funeral home. We would go in the lounge at the old Lincoln Way West location and play for hours on that arcade game not considering much else about the family's business, other than the family being nice to a couple of kids with free arcade games.
When my father passed away, I found out how much Kaniewski's really matters to our community. Greg, your professionalism was excellent. Our family could not have asked for a more kind and compassionate group of people to collaborate with. Just like the Kaniewski family treated us so generously as young kids, your family continues to treat our family so affectionately as adults. Many folks likely do not realize all the things the Kaniewski family does locally from sponsoring league teams to privately helping out the families of fallen South Bend Police Officers.
Greg, your family and its work really matters to this community. It is family that truly makes a daily difference in making our community a better place.

I can't say enough about the entire staff at Kaniewski. What can you expect when you come to Kaniewski in your time of need? Kindness, empathy, and complete professionalism. They just handled our mother's funeral in November, and everything was done exactly as we had wished. And Mom looked beautiful! They have a very talented makeup team at Kaniewski. Most of my extended family have used Kaniewski in the past and their loved ones have all looked wonderful. I want to send out a special thank you to Sherry Kent who helped pre-plan mom's funeral, and to Greg Kaniewski who was there at every turn, helping us through this unbearable time. He explained everything in detail and never rushed us. And he always showed remarkable patience. I highly recommend Kaniewski's Funeral Home to anyone. Our family was so impressed with the professionalism of all the employees we had contact with. We all felt our Mom looked wonderful and at peace. It is obvious that the staff is very compassionate and knowledgeable about how to handle things.

Everyone there went above and beyond my expectations. So many decisions but staff was patient. I would not hesitate to recommend your funeral home to family/friends. A big thank you to Greg Kaniewski for his patience and caring.

Years ago our family used another funeral home It was ok, I don't find the people as friendly or as professional. Kaniewski's did my mothers funeral 1 1/2 years ago and now my Dad. I found comfort and I never felt rushed going over things. All the people we worked with were very helpful and understanding. Since this was the last thing I did for my parents I wanted it to be done well and is was. I was happy with the funeral-the military honors at the cemetery was very moving. My Dad was a proud veteran and it was nice that it was recognized.

I trust in Kaniewski would not have expected less. Jeff was wonderful to work with and thank you Kenny for getting on one of the calls and saying those few words about Mom that you heard from your friend. Staff all was wonderful. Thank you for honoring all our requests. Bob - makeup was perfect-We came and did Mom's hair and nails.

The staff @ Kaniewski has always been very professional. Everything has always been explained in detail. Nothing has ever been rushed. Everyone has always been very respectful & understanding. The funeral service is conducted with grace & with utmost respect. I appreciate all that Kaniewski has done for me & my family considering my entire family has gone to Kaniewski. The gentlemen that came to pick up my Mom also were very kind & respectful during a very difficult time.

My mother looked like an angel.

As my father-in-law's POA, I had an extremely tight window of time to "spend down" before he was reviewed for Medicaid. That is also when we learned that we would have to cash surrender his life insurance plan (intended for his funeral). Kaniewski was the only establishment who took my phone call seriously with base price information, etc. without requiring an appointment first. Also, we greatly appreciate their attentiveness to detail and all of our needs.

I would like to thank all of the Kaniewski Funeral Home family. You were all so wonderful to work with. You made this difficult time in our lives easier to handle. You had several of us trying to give direction. Mike had answered or taken care of all of our needs and requests in such a caring way. My mother looked beautiful and the room was set up so nicely. Thank you for giving us direction on the viewing, the Church service, suggestions for the mass procession to even the brunch. It was a wonderful send off for my mother. We know she was smiling down at us from the heavens. Thank you all again!

Your family's kindness made this awful time more bearable. Everything was taken care of and I didn't have to think about anything, I felt confident you would follow through. In our time of need, the whole Kaniewski Family was there for us. When my mother-in-law, Catherine Vroman, unexpectedly passed away, Kaniewski Funeral Home in South Bend treated US like family. Compassionate, thoughtful, professional, and responsive, their services were incomparable. We could not have asked for more. They truly know how to celebrate the lives of the departed, and make the whole process a comforting and beautiful act. My wife and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
