From Finland: My warm greetings and condolences to Jalayne´s loved ones. I was an exhange student of the class ´61 at John Adams High School. During this special year Jalayne became one of my dearest friends: we both attended the art class and shared many cultural activities. We kept in touch for some years afterwards: in 1967 she sent me a lovely wedding present, a beautiful flower-designed bed-cover, which became the favorite warm-up ( "Kukkapeitto"in Finnish) to my two sons, when they came inside from the cold winters´ activities .
Jalayne wrote in my Adams Year Book in 1961: "Leila, it has been too brief of a year, we have had so much fun together. We seemed suited for a good friendship, I shall miss you. Love, Jalayne" To-day, after more than half a century, I miss her and cherish her memory.

So very saddened to see Jalayne passed away, worked with her at the South Bend Clinic. Very nice lady. Thoughts and prayers for the entire family!
