William "Larry" Miller

William “Larry” Miller, 81, of South Bend, IN, passed away unexpectedly at 3:59 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2026 in his home.

He was born on November 28, 1944 to the late Larry and Marion Baumann in Nashville, TN, and has lived in South Bend, IN for 22 years. Along with his parent; he was preceded in death by a step daughter, Barbara Alsup; and a step son, Robert Alsup.

Larry retired in 2009 from the City of South Bend Department of Public Works, where he worked in streets and sewer services for 18 years.

In 1992, he married Ruth A. Hemphill at Clay Park in South Bend, IN. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Ruth A. Miller of South Bend, IN, his beloved cat, Pepsi; and his beloved dog, Princess Di.

Larry enjoyed bowling with his wife Ruth and spending time with friends.

There will be no services.  Cremation will take place.
