Wilbert E. Ward, Jr. Obituary

Wilbert E. "Bill" Ward, Jr., 77, of Mill Creek, IN, passed away on Wednesday June 15, 2022, in his home.  He was born on September 8, 1944, in Benton Harbor, MI, to the late Wilbert E., Sr. and Faye (Snyder) Ward.  On July 27, 2002, he married Joyce A. Wagnon who survives.  Also surviving are his daughter, Kristin (Alvie) Ellenwine of Rolling Prairie, IN, his son, Scott (Carol) Ward of Eau Claire, MI, step-son, Thomas Wagnon of AZ; five grandchildren, Elin and Eric Boklund, Alvie A. (Sarah) Ellenwine, Bronson Ellenwine and Drake Ellenwine, a great-granddaughter, Ivyanna Ellenwine, a sister, Becky (Bill) Anderson of Lansing, MI, a brother, Wesley (Mary) Ward of Mill Creek and by a half brother, Gilbert (Jan) Bradburn of Rolling Prairie.  Mr. Ward worked as a Machinist for Bendix/Honeywell for 33 years, before retiring in 2007.  He was a 1963 graduate of New Carlisle High School, a member of the Bendix Retirees, a member of Sauktown Church of Christ, Mill Creek and was in the National Guard from 1963-1966.  A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St., New Carlisle, IN.  A funeral service for Bill will be held at 2 p.m. EST Monday, at the funeral home, where friends may visit for one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Sauktown Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Sauktown Cemetery or to the Hudson Lake Church of Christ, New Carlisle, IN.  To send online condolences, please visit www.kaniewski.com.
