Vasilios "Bill" A. Spentzos

Vasilios “Bill” A. Spentzos, 83, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. He was born on June 14, 1941 in Nestani, Greece to the late Andreas and Demetra Spentzos. Vasilio was preceded in death by one son Andreas Spentzos. He is survived by one daughter Demetra of Greece. Bill migrated to the United States from Greece. He owned the Sunrise Café in South Bend and later opened up Bill’s Place on Western Avenue. Bill’s Place still remains open to this day. For many years he provided a full free Christmas dinner for anyone that came to the restaurant. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at the St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am until 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery.
