Tyra Donmaria Smortz, 81, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on March 18th at Healthwin Specialized Care. Tyra was born on August 14, 1939 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Lloyd and Irene (Synave) Daurer. Tyra is survived by one daughter, Leona (Mark) Jolly of Granger, Indiana, one son, Rob O’Donnell of Germany, six grandchildren, and one brother Jan (Connie) Daurer of LaPorte, Indiana. Tyra worked as a cook in the St. Joseph County Jail. No services are planned at this time. She is loved, and will be remembered for her kindness, her humor, and her good nature.
