Todd M. Wincek

Todd M. Wincek, 53, of South Bend, Indiana passed on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, in his home.  He was born on January 28, 1969 in South Bend, Indiana to Mary Lou (Mucha) and Eric “Rick” Wincek.  Todd was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and IU Bloomington. He received his master’s degree from Loyola University in Chicago and his Juris Doctor of Law from Temple University.  Todd was partner in the law firm, Burns and Wincek in Chicago, Illinois.  He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Wincek of South Bend, Indiana; his brother, Andrew J. Wincek of Indianapolis, Indiana; many extended family members including aunts, uncles and cousins; his Goddaugther, Morgan Kramer; and his furry friend Marcus.  Todd was preceded in death by his father, Rick Wincek; his paternal grandparents, John and Beverly Wincek; and his maternal grandparents, Stanley and Irene Mucha.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in Corpus Christi Church. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.  A rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. Monday. Todd was an Eagle Scout.  He was a die-hard Cubs fan. Todd loved his Polish Heritage, Elvis and Frank Sinatra. He was an avid volunteer for many charities. Todd was a kind soul and loved by many.  He fought the fight and is now at rest with his Dad and beloved family members.  “We will always love you.” Memorial Contributions may be directed to Indiana Legal Services, Inc. or Corpus Christi Church.
