Terry L. Syson

Terry L. Syson, 85, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026. He was born on May 21, 1940 in South Bend, Indiana to the late George B. and Sarah F. (Matthews) Syson. Terry is survived by one daughter, Lora Syson-Durham (Gerrell) of Niles, Michigan, two sons, Keith Syson (Laura) of Lakeville, Indiana and Brian Syson of South Bend, Indiana, four grandchildren, Lindsay and Christopher Syson and Casey and Cody Durham, one brother, Michael Syson of Florida, two step grandchildren, Jason and Allison Rae and one niece Karen Edwards. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Rex Edwards.

Terry enjoyed the outdoors. He spent a lot of his free time in the woods hunting for deer. He worked at Sears Department store for many years. He enjoyed working in his garden and spending time with his grandchildren.

A visitation for Terry will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Terry will be buried at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.kaniewski.com
