Susan J. "Sue" (Kipp) Coram

Sue Coram (nee Kipp), 61, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2023 at the Center for Hospice Care-Raclin House in Mishawaka, IN, following a long battle with cancer.

She was born on November 2, 1961, in Milwaukee, WI to Reinhardt and Vera Kipp.

Survived by the love of her life of 35 years, Mark Coram, their two sons, Robert Coram and Bejamin (Lyndsey) Coram, Grandson, Miles Coram, father, Reinhardt Kipp, Siblings, Kevin (Shirlene) Kipp, Craig (LaVonne) Kipp, Sandy (Tony) May, Karen (Dean) Bennett, Brian (Jenny) Kipp, and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and Aunts & Uncles.

Preceded in death by mother, Vera Kipp, Grandparents John and Veronica Rogutich, and Hugo and Margaret Kipp.

Sue was a people person.  She loved caring not only for her family but also her patients.  She started her 25-year career in nursing in the CNA program at Miller’s Merry Manor in New Carlisle, IN.  During her time at Miller’s, she quickly worked her way through the LPN program and continued on to complete her Associates degree as a Registered Nurse.  She then went on to work at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN and finished her career at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN.

Sue loved life and was always on the go.  During the summer months, you could find Sue at her pool, enjoying the warm weather and watching her grandson play.  If she wasn’t there you might find her at a lake, with a fishing pole waiting for the “big one” to take the bait.  Sue enjoyed planning and taking trips.  Whether it be to Lake Namakagon with family, or an adventure with Mark, or simply mini casino trips either in Vegas or a day trip to a nearby casino.  Sue was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and Grandmother.  She loved spending time with her family.  Most of all, Sue enjoyed anything that had to do with her boys, Mark, Robert, Benjamin and grandson, Miles.  She is loved and will be missed by all!

A memorial visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN  46628.  There will be no services.  Cremation has taken place.
