Steve Cantu

Steve Cantu, 58, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on August 20, 1962 in Houston, Texas to Benjamin and Rosie (Preze) Cantu. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin. He is survived by his mother, Rosie Cantu of South Bend, Indiana; one sister, Lupe Pellow of South Bend, Indiana; two brothers, Ralph and Ben Cantu both of South Bend, Indiana; one niece, Erin Orozco; and four nephews: Shane Cantu, Bryce Cantu, Ty Pellow and Cameron Pellow.

Steve graduated from Ball State University. He was a graphic arts designer, who loved to travel. He was able to live out one of his dreams by traveling to Europe to see the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris and Amsterdam. All who knew Steve knew of his love for Snoopy (and his mass collection), the Indy 500 races, his motorcycles, Hondas, Chicago Cubs and animals. Words cannot express how much he will be missed. Our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. You are so loved and this is not goodbye, but until we meet again...

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, Indiana. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.kaniewski.com.
