Sherri L. Badman McGrogan, 68, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of South Bend, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021. Sherri was born on April 27, 1953 in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Lowell and Esther (Verheye) Badman. On April 26, 2015, she married Robert McGrogan, who survives. Sherri is also survived by one daughter, Amiee N. (Lawrence Minor III) Frantom of South Bend, Indiana; one son, Dr. Brian (Dr. Grace) Badman of Zionsville, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Aaliyah Robinson, Alexandrea Tabler, Alexander Badman, Joshua Badman, Skylar Badman, Lawrence Minor IV, and Ryan Minor; two great-grandchildren, Jeannie Robinson and Lyrica Lerma; one sister, Linda Atwell of Naperville, Illinois; and one brother, Paul (Jody) Badman of Niles, Michigan.
Sherri received her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. She worked as a RN all of her life. She enjoyed fishing with her dad. She had a very special bond with her mom. They loved to spend time having coffee in the morning while gardening. She loved her family dearly but especially loved being a “Grammy.”
A visitation for Sherri will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, IN from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday June 19, 2021 in Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Sherri’s honor.
