Sheila P. Myers

Sheila P. Myers of South Bend, IN passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 surrounded by her family and friends at Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 28, 1958 in Billings, MT to the late Gordon and Nannette (McCarthy) Pope as the youngest of five children. On April 12, 1997 she married Brian Myers at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. Along with her husband she is survived by one daughter, Abigail Nannette Myers of South Bend, IN, two sisters, Pamela (Randolph) Hock of Annapolis, MD, Diane King of Durham, NC, two brothers, Louis (Joyce) Pope of Fulton, MD, Bruce (Nancy) Pope of Fredrick, MD and twelve nieces and nephews.

Sheila graduated in 1977 from Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, MD. Although Sheila was born in Billings, MT, she and her family moved to Denver, CO for a short time before settling in Bethesda, MD which she considered her hometown. In June of 1994 she moved to South Bend, IN where she met her husband, Brian. Sheila worked many different jobs most recently at the University of Notre Dame. She was an avid traveler and visited 48/50 states during her lifetime. She loved exploring different places and was always planning her next trip. Sheila especially loved Coca Cola, Siamese cats and sewing.

A visitation for Sheila will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 2, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 State Hwy 933, South Bend, IN 46637 at 12:00 pm with visitation for one hour prior to the Mass (11:00 am - 12:00 pm). Burial will take place at Parklawn Memorial in Rockville, MD next to her mother who she loved dearly.
