Sharon Dianne Renz

Sharon Dianne (Hughes) Renz, 77, of Lakeville, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 12, 2021.

Sharon was born to Eugene V. and Gertrude A. Hughes, and grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana; both preceded her in death.

She graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1961. Sharon furthered her education at Indiana University.

Later she married Richard Charles Renz on December 16, 1966. They lived in Elkhart, Indiana, and were blessed with two children, Renee and Nikolaus. Her husband preceded her in death on November 12, 1981.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Dianne (Renz) James of Lakeville, IN, her son, Richard Nikolaus Renz, and two grandchildren, Keelin Dianne James and Noah Charles James both of Lakeville, Indiana.

She loved to tell others about her Heavenly Father’s grace and mercy shown to her through His Son, Jesus Christ. She was not shy about her faith in Jesus Christ. In fact, she lived and shared it with anyone who would listen.

She was a faithful member of Berean Reformed Baptist Church in Osceola, Indiana, and she loved to attend a woman’s bible study on Thursdays. She did love to travel and her favorite country was Malta; her favorite destination was Disney World before they were woke.

She lived a full and vibrant life in this world, seeking to please her Heavenly Father, now she is rejoicing in the presence of the One who lived and died to secure for her everlasting life and the forgiveness of her sins. We also are rejoicing through tears of sorrow with her.

A memorial service will be at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Berean Reformed Baptist Church (meeting at Shepherd’s Heart Fellowship) 58362 Beech Road, Osceola, Indiana, with Pastor Kevin James officiating. Visitation will be from 11-1 PM. A burial service will follow at Hamilton Church Cemetery, New Carlisle, Indiana.
