Scarlett Desiree (Copella) Cabanaw

Scarlett Desiree Cabanaw, 51, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Scarlett was born on April 16, 1974 in Ridgway Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her father Tom Copella. Her mother Cyndi (Paul) Sykes of South Bend, Indiana survives. She is also survived by her daughter Morgan (Adam Jorgensen) Cabanaw of Elkhart, Indiana, one sister, Natasha (Joel) Rawson of Elkhart, Indiana, two brothers, Thomas (Marika) Rissman of Niles, Michigan and Michael (Megan Taylor) of South Bend, Indiana.

Scarlett was a bright spot in the lives of everyone she met.  Her smile, personality and sense of humor were something to be remembered by everyone who knew her. She could light up any room she went into with just a smile.  She will be deeply missed by friends and family.

A Catholic Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN at 6:00 pm. Visitation will take place from 4:00 pm until 6:00 prior to the service in the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.kaniewski.com
