Sandra L. "Sandy" Tetzloff

Sandra L. “Sandy” Tetzloff, 80, of Granger, IN, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 26, 1944, in Terre Haute, IN, to the late Rupert J. and Pearl V. (Tompkins) Sexton. She graduated from South Bend College of Commerce, where she met the love of her life, Donald R. Tetzloff. They married on June 20, 1964.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband; 4 children: Gregory (Debra) Tetzloff of Liberty Twp, OH, Grant (Lisa) Tetzloff of Genoa, IL, Michael (Sarah) Tetzloff of Edwardsburg, MI, Michelle (Bob “Z”) Zavacky of Granger, IN; 10 grandchildren: Adam R., Bryana (Skyler), Alex, Dylan, Adryana, Adam T., Emily, Cortlyn, Devin and Brooke; 3 step- grandchildren: Jeremy (Delani), Elizabeth and Brandt; 2 great-grandchildren: Paisley, Bentley and one on the way in June; 3 siblings: Sherrie (Oscar) Alverson of Alamogordo, NM, Victoria “Viki” Dundon of South Bend, IN, and James ”Jim” Sexton of South Bend, IN. Sandy was also preceded in death by grandson, Dustin, and brother-in-law, Joseph Dundon. 

Sandy had a strong faith and was a longtime member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, garage sales, sewing, camping, winters in Florida, bargain shopping, and most of all, she loved sharing her famous candy “turtles.” 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N Bendix Dr., South Bend, IN at 12:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sandy’s honor.  Online condolences may be left at www.kaniewski.com.
