Rose was a bus driver for 30 years. Her kids were very important to her. She was Miss Rose to all, and was sure they were well cared for and valued, and received treats during the holidays. Rose made friends easily and was very loyal. She met with St. Adalbert’s grade school and Washington High School friends. She had lunches with retired bus drivers and Women’s Knights of Columbus. She remained friends with those she met on her honeymoon, through being a recess monitor, through Kiwanis, and everywhere she went, really. Rose’s hobbies were reading Amish romance and mystery books, watching mysteries and action adventures, shopping for clothes, shoes, jewelry, purses, and anything peacock and picking fresh fruit from the farm. She collected Hummels, decorative eggs, angel figurines, and anything peacock, including décor, jewelry, and clothes. Earlier as an adult, Rose was in a mixed bowling league and with her husband and would go on trips all over the country. Later on, she went on cruises with her husband and friends. She went of trips to Hawaii, the Bahamas, and New Orleans. She loved dogs, especially Biscuit and Bailee, the last dogs she had.
