Ronald C. Grzeskiewicz

Ronald C. Grzeskiewicz, born August 28, 1945 in South Bend, Indiana passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026.  After earning his degree from Western Michigan University, Ron “Mr. G” dedicated more than 40 years of his life to education as a beloved science teacher, football coach and athletic director at Edwardsburg Public School.  Throughout his career, he inspired thousands of students with his passion for science, steady guidance and his deep connection for those he taught.  His impact extended well beyond the classroom into the broader community.  Wherever Ron traveled, there was someone who knew him and he enjoyed reconnection with each and every one.

Outside his professional life, Ron found great joy in the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who appreciated the quiet beauty of Michigan’s lakes and forests. He often shared those experiences and stories with friends and loved ones.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Rose (Buzalski) Grzeskiewicz.  He was a devoted partner, friend and community member.  He is survived by his partner, Peggy Long, along with many dear friends whose lives he touched over the years.  He was actively involved at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Cassopolis, Michigan where he found fellowship and purpose.  He will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to others and the enduring legacy in the lives he influenced.

A public visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026 in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Cassopolis, Michigan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Church.  Entombment will follow the luncheon at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be directed to St. Anne Catholic Church or Edwardsburg Public School Foundation.
