Ronald Rampi Obituary

Ronald Louis Rampi, 62, of South Bend, Indiana joined the Lord in heaven on Monday, December 28, 2020. He was born in Paterson, New Jersey on March 16, 1958 to the late Raymond and Lucille (Tamburro) Rampi. On March 26, 1988 in Clearwater, Florida he joyfully married Mary Barbara Buche, who survives. Ron is also survived by one son, Ryan (fiancée Carly Bass) of Germantown, Maryland, one daughter, Angela (Travis) Leemreis of Tampa, Florida, two sisters, Irene (Frank) Williamson, Marie (Joel Mittleman) Hidalgo, two brothers, Raymond (Mary) Rampi and Richard (Patricia) Rampi.

Ron was a talented Prosthetist and Orthotist for over 35 years. He loved helping people walk again by creating artificial limbs for them. Although he was a master at his craft, it was clear that his #1 priority was being an incredible husband, dad, and family member – and he made each of us feel that way every single day. He was such a special person – so full of love, joy, kindness, gentleness, and hilarious stories! Everyone who met Ron loved him. He blessed all of our lives.

Ron loved music! He had a natural knack for any instrument he picked up but his favorites were drums, guitar, and harmonica. He played in various bands throughout his life, including a church band in Tennessee for 7 years. His favorite musicians included Stevie Wonder, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Michael Jackson, and Aerosmith. Ron also loved dirt biking and taking relaxing motorcycle rides through the countryside on a sunny day.

Services will be held at a later date in Orlando, Florida. Memorial Contributions may be made in Ron’s honor to Musicians on Call, 110 West 40th Street, Suite 702, New York, New York 10018 or The American Heart Association. Online condolences may be left at www.kaniewski.com.
