The daughter of Professors Rudolph Santo and Rita Uznanski Bottei, Roberta Ann (Roban) Bottei was a brilliant woman of faith. After attending Christ the King School, she was a valedictorian of the Clay High School Class of 1979, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and recipient of a Master’s Degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. She loved her Catholic Faith, which was nurtured from her earliest years at Christ the King Parish. A true daughter of Notre Dame, Roberta was especially devoted to the Virgin Mary, whose statues and shrines adorned her home. She was passionate about the Rosary, and she revered the Saints, some of her favorites being Mother Teresa and Brother Andre. Throughout her sojourn, Roberta’s faith was her anchor amidst the storms. Predeceased by her parents and brother Edward, Roberta is survived by her brothers Gregory and Paul (Theresa), nieces, and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church on June 3, 2023 at 2:30 p.m., with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. She will then be laid to rest alongside her parents at Notre Dame’s Cedar Grove Cemetery.
