Robert H. Warye

Robert H. Warye, 89, of Chicago, IL (formerly of South Bend, IN) passed away on December 30, 2018 at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

He was born on March 4, 1929 to the late John E. and Alma (Sanger) Warye in Columbus, OH, and lived in South Bend, IN from 1960 – 2010, before moving to Chicago, IL.  

Robert is preceded in death by his twin brother, Richard J. Warye.

He retired in May 1989 from Union-North School Corporation, where he taught Art at LaVille High School for 26 years.  Following retirement, he worked at Macys Department Store at University Park Mall in Mishawaka, IN from 1991- 2010.

Robert is survived by his many close friends and colleagues.

He was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association; Local Teachers Association; life member of the National Education Association; and a member of many various other organizations.

Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. 

There will be no services.  Private burial will take place in Highland Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
