Rita M. Moore (August 29, 1930 – April 6, 2026)

Rita Moore, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, in Granger, IN, at the age of 95, surrounded by her family.

Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Moore (March 1, 2026), her parents, Joseph and Bernice Gondek, and her sister, Lillian Blaszik.

Her loving children survive her: Stephen Moore, Barb (Dave) Peet, Susan (David) Moore-Riesbeck, and Alan Moore.

Rita was a proud grandmother to six: Rachel (Kyle) Hanson, Allison (Zac) Pendergrass, Matthew (Amelia) Riesbeck, Jessica (Andy) Peet, Christopher Riesbeck, and Jonathan (Mariah) Riesbeck. Affectionately known as "Gigi," she will be deeply missed by her five great-grandchildren: Sam, Henry, Claire, Owen, and Lillian.

She is also lovingly remembered by her niece, Cathy (Jim) Nelson; her great-niece, Danielle (Chris) Okon; her great-nephew, Eric Nelson; and her great-great-nephew, Joey.

Family was the center of Rita's world, and nothing brought her greater delight than her great-grandchildren. "Gigi" lit up in their presence, and they, in turn, were blessed by her love, stories, and gentle spirit.

Rita loved crafting, and her hands were rarely idle. She had a creative spirit and found happiness in crafting, especially in creating felt items by hand. Her creations were made with love and shared with others, reflecting her thoughtful nature.

Rita also treasured her time with friends, particularly her Birthday Club Ladies' Lunches — a gathering of dear friends who celebrated one another and the gift of companionship. Those lunches were a highlight she looked forward to with great joy.

"Mom, Mammy, Grandma, Gigi" leaves behind a family who will forever hold her in their hearts. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
