Rebecca J. Lincoln

Rebecca J. Lincoln, 75, of South Bend, passed away peacefully on Monday May 27, 2024 in her home.  She was born on January 19, 1949 in Kewanna, Indiana to the late Arthur J. and Ruth Ann (Tomlinson) Anderson.  She worked as an RN in Operating Rooms, eventually working up to director level positions and earning her Master's Degree from the University of Notre Dame. On December 19, 1970 she married James R. Lincoln who preceded her in death on February 16, 2007. Rebecca is survived by her two daughters, Sara Edwards of Elkhart, IN and Leslie (Dennis Halterman) Lincoln of Madison, WI and four granddaughters, Lauren Halterman, Kahlan and Lilly Edwards, and Abby Ruprecht.  Rebecca loved cooking and baking for family and friends, and was a devoted guardian to her pets over the years.  A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday June 1, 2024 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. Saturday June 1, 2024 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Cleveland Clinic or Pet Refuge.
