Raymond R. Callander, 77, of Edwardsburg, MI, died at 3:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 in his home, following a short illness.
Raymond was born on October 8, 1946 to the late Iona (Keyser) Callander in Knox, IN. He was also the son of the late Elmo “Pete” Callander and has lived in Edwardsburg, MI since 2019, coming from Niles, MI.
He attended Penn High School in Mishawaka, IN for three years, then graduated in 1964 from Riley High School in South Bend, IN. He then attended South Bend College of Commerce, where he graduated in 1966.
Raymond was the owner of Callander Mobile Modular Homes for many years, before retiring in 2020.
He is survived by his former wife of 42 years, Marlene Callander of Mishawaka, IN; three daughters, Kimberly (Kenneth) Fuegos of Madisonville, TN; Melody Callander of South Bend, IN; Stephanie Callander of South Bend, IN; two grandchildren, Christin Jordan of South Bend, IN; Ryan Jordan of South Bend, IN; three great grandchildren, Abigail & Abel Cadwallader; Persephone Jordan; two sisters, Sharon (Ronald) Leichty of South Bend, IN; Pamela (Steve) Nykiel of Southlake, TX; and several nieces & nephews. He was loved very deeply by his family and will be greatly missed by all.
Raymond was a member of the St. Joseph Masonic Lodge No. 45 in South Bend, IN. He was an antique dealer, vintage car enthusiast and collector, and loved his dogs.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
