Raymond D. "Dale" Jones

Raymond D. Jones, 65, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away on Saturday September 28, 2024, in his home in New Carlisle.

He was born on April 3, 1959, in Amarillo, TX, to the late Ben and Patsy (Ashmore) Jones.  On December 23, 2016, he married Rose Mitchell, who preceded him in death on December 22, 2021.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Jones and by one sisters and two brothers.

Raymond is survived by his daughter, Katrina (Michael) Zinn of South Bend, his sons, Robert (Jill) Mattisits of KY and Chris (Deaja) Beehler of New Carlisle, 9 grandchildren, four step-children, Casey, Jessie and Brad Mitchell and Tressa (Mitchell) Benner.

Six Sisters, Helen (Jones) Barlow, Delsie (Jones) Ewing, Debbie (Ashmore) Holcomb, Sandy (Banes) Byram, Becky (Banes) Haney and Jenny (Jones) Wilson and three Brothers, Jim Banes, Ted Jones and Kenny Jones along with numerous nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Bella. 

Mr. Jones retired in 2022 from Edward Rose and Sons Mishawaka, where he worked in maintenance and had previously worked for Scotts Brass New Carlisle as a Foreman.  He served as an EMT for the New Carlisle Ambulance Department for 10+ years, was a member of the Masonic Lodge in New Carlisle for 30 years and was a volunteer for several not for profit organizations, helping raise funds for their causes.  He was an avid lover of old cars, loved helping people and had many friends that he loved dearly. 

Raymond (Dale) had a big heart and cared for all who knew him. He was a true blessing to all and the community. He was very much loved and will be missed by his family and friends. 

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
