Randall D. Chidister

Randall D. Chidister, 65, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, in Memorial Hospital.  Randall was born on July 8, 1959 in South Bend, to Jack and Jeannette (Heckamen) Chidister, who both preceded him in death.  He retired on January 1, 2025 from Peerless Midwest, where he was employed in the Purchasing Department for 40 years.  On August 18, 2012, in South Bend, he married Bobbie J. Slone, who survives.  Randall is also survived by his daughter, Sarah (Nathan) Rains of Carmel, Indiana; his son, Trevor Chidister; one step-daughter, Ashlea Slone of Wolf Lake, Indiana; one grandson, Alexander; one step-granddaughter, Lillian Slone; his sister, Kathy Chidister of Middlebury, Indiana; his brother, Mark (Peggy) Chidister of Ames, Iowa; and by his nieces and nephews, Peter, Ian, Lucy and James.  Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2025, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.  A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.  Randall was a member of the Marked Men for Christ.  He enjoyed photography.
