Patricia A. Gilkins

Patricia A. Gilkins, 61, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 5:55 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2025, in the Raclin House.  Patricia was born on November 11, 1964 in Alma, Michigan to Ray and Carol (LaFrance) Sobanski.  She had been employed for 18 years as a Patient Care Assistant at Memorial Hospital. The last 2 years as a clerk at the Dollar General at Quince and US 20 South Bend. On March 17, 1984 in Alma, Michigan she married Jeffrey S. Gilkins, who survives.  Patricia is also survived by two daughters, Samantha Galimore of South Bend, Indiana and Christina (Kyle) Hug of St. Louis, Michigan; three grandchildren, Jasmine, Alyssa and Chloe; three sisters, Bev (Sonny) Campbell of Alma, Michigan, Anna Sobanski of Alma, Michigan and Becky Sobanski of Lansing, Michigan; and one brother, John Sobanski of Alma, Michigan.  Patricia was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Tony Galimore. She enjoyed traveling and cooking.  There will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be directed to the Center for Hospice Care,  501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, Indiana, 46545. Kaniewski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
