Patricia L. Dosch

  Patricia Louise Dosch, 94, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025.  Born to Cecil “Pete” and Ruth (Bollinger) Morin on June 30, 1931, in Zanesville, Ohio, Pat graduated from St. Nicholas High School, moving north in 1956 with husband Howard and their first child as they made their new home in South Bend, Indiana.

Pat was a long time member of Corpus Christi Parish in South Bend, where her children attended school and she did her share of “bun days,” Parish Council meetings, money counting Mondays, sewing of costumes, and filling countless Holy Hours at Eucharistic Adoration. She had an unshakable faith.

  Pat was devoted to family and loved the outdoors. Some of her happiest memories were the many camping trips and fishing outings we shared. Even to her final days there were so many instances when she reminisced about these times and laughed over fond memories of our antics often saying, “We had a lot of good times, didn’t we?” Yes, we did.

   Pat married Howard Dosch on August 4, 1951, at St. Nicholas Church in Zanesville, Ohio. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2022. She is survived by their four children: daughters Dianna (Ken) Dekker of Dowagiac, Michigan and Lisa (Tom) Slott of South Bend, sons Mark and Peter (Maria) Dosch, both of South Bend.

There are also eleven grandchildren with many fun and warm memories of their grandma: Katie (Jon) Denbrock, Sara (Beat) Guggisberg, Josh (Karyn) Dekker, Christopher (Katie) Slott, John (Theresa) Slott, Carolyn (Pete) Wamsley, Danny Slott, Colleen (Matt Brach) Dosch, Maggie Dosch, Alexandra Dosch and Rebecca Dosch.

Additionally there are 16 great-grandchildren: Samuel, James, Marian, Adelaide, Thomas, Rachel, Elizabeth, Miriam, Teddy, Zoe, Maura, Dean, Myles, Cora, Kenai and Frankie.

  In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was preceded in death by her twin sister Peggy Duffy and her brother James Morin.

  Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, IN, where a rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm.

  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, August 11, 2025 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2822 Corpus Christi Drive, South Bend, IN  46628. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
