Nancy (née Stolze) Gring, 88, passed away on March 19, 2021. She was a 1954 graduate of Michael Reese Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago. Nancy was happily married to Robert Gring in 1958. Nancy was an ardent supporter of education and worked for many years at Task Force on Education for the Handicapped and for the Indiana Association for Children with Learning Disabilities.
She is survived by her husband Bob, who made their 62 plus years together very interesting. Nancy was predeceased by her oldest son, David Gring, in 2020. Survivors also include her sister-in-law Linda Stolze, her son and daughter, Michael and Paula Gring, as well as her daughter in law, Laura Gring. Her life was blessed with 5 grandsons, Shane (Skyler and Dylan) Gring, Kyle (Christine) Gring, Scott (Katie) Gring, Joseph and David Barrette, and their growing families.
Nancy was very proud and grateful for the family that God gave her and Bob. And devoted her life to caring for this family as a generous wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She dearly enjoyed her life!!
A private memorial service to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held at Northwest United Methodist Church.
