Michaelene L. Turner, 54, of South Bend, passed away on Thursday January 19, 2023 at Trailpoint Village, South Bend.  She was born on March 29, 1968, in South Bend, to Henry, Jr. and Carolyn (Smith) Turner and lived in the area most of her life.  She had a degree in accounting, but her passion was in sales becoming a Senior Executive in Avon.  Ms. Turner is survived by her three sons; Gregory Crew of South Bend, Brice (Hannah) Turner of Oklahoma City, OK and Stacey Turner of Houston, TX; granddaughter Josilynn Turner of Houston Texas, her mother, Carolyn Turner of South Bend; three sisters, Darlene Turner and Gail Perry, both of Country Club Hills, IL and Lana Knowlin of South Bend, a brother, Henry Turner III of South Bend, by her best friend, Leialoha Garber-Hinrichs and many extended family.  Michaelene’s greatest joy was spending time with her sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. Most recently she enjoyed raising money for Trailpoint by making puzzles and auctioning them off. She was a member of Deer Run Church of Christ which she viewed as family.  A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend.  Funeral services for Michaelene will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trailpoint Village, 1950 Ridgedale Rd., South Bend, IN  46614.  The family would like to extend and heartfelt thank you to Michelle at Trailpoint for her wonderful care of her close friend.  To send online condolences, please visit www.kaniewski.com.
