Maxine Milliken, 93, of Nobleton, Florida, formerly of Elkhart, Indiana passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. She was born on April 5, 1928 in Lydick, Indiana to the late Marvin K. and Mary Coe (Stroup) Trumble. On June 23, 1951 she married Malcolm “Bud” Milliken who preceded her in death on July 18, 1992. Maxine is survived by two daughters, Julie (Richard) Robison of Elkhart, Indiana, Janet (Fred) Simmons of Elkhart, Indiana, two sons, Bradford (Nancy) Milliken of Elkhart, Indiana, John (Peggy) Milliken of Elkhart, Indiana, eight grandchildren; Rachelle (Matt) Judd, Lindsey (Mitch) Romanetz, Morgan (Travis) Batie, Jessica (Chad) Glick, Eric (Jill) Robison, Kaitlyn (Tanner) Smale, Daniel Simmons, David (Alysan) Simmons, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Maxine was a member of the Nobleton Community Church since 1992 where she served as an organist. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She taught piano and organ for many years. Maxine especially loved to sing Karaoke. She loved to make quilts and made them for Hospice and all of her children.
A visitation for Maxine will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, IN. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Nobleton Community Church, P.O.
