Mary Ann Kopinski

Mary Ann Kopinski, 95, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was born on January 6, 1930 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Henry William and Betty Marie (Schultz) Gudates. On October 6, 1956 she married Norbert Kopinski who preceded her in death on November 23, 2018. Mary Ann is survived by one daughter, Nancy (Greg) Schultheis of Mishawaka, Indiana, one son, Mark (Susan) Kopinski of Indianapolis, Indiana, seven grandchildren, Amanda (Cameron) Troxell, Kelly (Terry) Heatherly, Kara (Dexter) Henry, Brett (Ana) Kopinski, Kasey (Kyle) Zartman, Coley (Christina Miller) Schultheis and Erin (Adam) Crecelius, seventeen great grandchildren, Brady, Braxton, Camden, Ruby and Isabella Heatherly, Carter and Vincent Henry, Bennett and Lena Troxell, Elias, Theo, Soraya and Andres Kopinski, Clark and Cole Crecelius and Hudson and Ryker Zartman and two sisters, Betty Ann Hevel and Jo Ann Hicks.

Mary Ann was an avid Notre Dame Football and men’s and women’s basketball fan. She loved to watch Hallmark movies and the gameshow network. Mary Ann loved her family dearly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at St. Anthony de Padu Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Visitation will take place for one hour prior to the mass. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation in Mary Ann’s honor. Online condolences may be left at www.kaniewski.com
