Mary Ann (Ganus) Clark

Mary Ann (Ganus) Clark, 74, of South Bend, Indiana passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, November 4, 2024. She was born on July 6, 1950 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Henry “Hank” and Margaret “Margo” (Werwas) Ganus. On June 9, 1973 she married Mark A. Clark who preceded her in death on August 10, 2007.

Mary Ann is survived by one daughter, Shannon (Todd) Klimek of Louisville, Kentucky, one son, Ryan Clark of South Bend, Indiana, four grandchildren, Adam, Noah, Connor and Maks, two brothers, Ron (Gayle) Ganus of South Bend, Indiana and Mike (Deb) Ganus of Granger, Indiana and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann retired from the University of Notre Dame Office of Research. Her most cherished activities included spending time with her family, most especially her four amazing grandsons, and watching her treasured “Dukies” play basketball.

A visitation for Mary Ann will be held on Thursday, November 7, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 am in Christ the King Catholic Church.
