Marsha J. Barcikowski, 73, of Hudson Lake, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, February 14, 2021, in Northwest Health of LaPorte after a long courageous battle with cancer. Marsha was born on November 23, 1947 in Tullahoma, Tennessee to Paul and Mattie Bell (Greene) Frye. She had been the owner of the Golden Glow Tanning and Nail Salon in Glenwood Illinois and the Glenwood Theatre. On August 27, 1965 she married Joseph Barcikowski, who survives. She is also survived by her son, Joseph D. Barcikowski of Michigan City, Indiana; three grandchildren, Brianna (Jonny) Eisenhardt, Samantha Barcikowski and Trenton Barcikowski; two great-grandchildren, Laken and Easton Eisenhardt; one sister, Clare “Dean” (William “Sonny”) Simmons of Manchester, Tennessee; and two brothers, Jimmy Frye of Wisconsin and William Frye of Tullahoma, Tennessee; and by many nieces and nephews. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mattie Bell Frye; and three brothers, Wayne Frye, Raleigh “Tinker” Frye, and Michael Frye. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Marsha was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family and her great-grandchildren.
