Marlene Joy Stevens, 92, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 12, 1932 in South Bend, Indiana. Marlene married Robert Alfred Stevens who preceded her in death in 1981. She was also preceded in death by her parents Steve and Laura (Faltynski) Kujawa, one grandson, Lucas Huffman and two brothers William and Jack Maciejewski. She is survived by two daughters, Marie Huffman and Deborah Stevens, three sons, Robert Stevens, David Stevens and Charles Stevens, six grandchildren, Brent Huffman, Amy Huffman, Justin Huffman, Erin Stevens, Charles Stevens and Robert Stevens and six great grandchildren, Noah, Alyssa, Skyler, Delaney, Finley and Jordan.
Marlene retired from the University of Notre Dame. She was an avid reader. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Marlene will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at St. Mary’s National Catholic Church, 1601W. Sample St., South Bend, IN 46619.
