Margaret A. (Howard) Staszewski

Margaret A. Staszewski, 70, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 8:14 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2023, following a brief illness.

She was born on April 24, 1953 to the late Donald H. and Linda L. (Geishirt) Howard in Madison, WI, and was a lifelong resident of South Bend, IN.  Along with her parents; she was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Taber; and a brother, Donald Howard.

Margaret retired in 2022 from The Blue Lantern Restaurant & Lounge in Mishawaka, IN, where she worked as a server for 14 years.

She graduated in 1971 from Riley High School in South Bend, IN.

On December 30, 1989, as Margaret A. Howard, she married Randy A. Staszewski in South Bend, IN.  Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Randy A. Staszewski of South Bend, IN; one daughter, Linda Lane of South Bend, IN; two sons, Joseph Staszewski of South Bend, IN; Michael (Jacqui) Staszewski of South Bend, IN; two grandchildren, Alexandriea Dobski of Mishawaka, IN; Carter Lane of South Bend, IN; one great grandson, Jackson McDonald of Mishawaka, IN; one sister, Shelley (Dennis) Anders of Valparaiso, IN; and her beloved cat, Mr. Pooh.

Margie loved spending time with her family and especially loved when all her children were together with her. She enjoyed spending Sundays going to “club” with her best friends Becky, Steve, and Linda. She loved gardening and spending time in her backyard.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2023 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN.  No Services will be held. Cremation has taken place.
