Marcel R. Landuit

Marcel R. Landuit, 92, of Granger, IN, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family, at 12:08 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2026, following an illness.

He was born on February 3, 1934 to the late Cyriel and Mary (Dumoulin) Landuit in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident.  Along with his parents; he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Landuit; and a grandson, Brad Alan Snyder.

Marcel attended Washington High School, before serving in the U.S. Army from 1956 -1962.

He retired in 1999 from the Bendix /Honeywell Corp., where he was employed for 47 years.

On September 2, 1961, he married Barbara L. Stout at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in South Bend, IN.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara L. Landuit of Granger, IN; one son, Mark (Tracey) Landuit of Granger, IN; two daughters, Michelle (Bill) Pitt of Naples, FL; Marsca (Tim) Dunn of Noblesville, IN; seven grandchildren, Travis Landuit, Lauren Landuit West, Dakota Cochran, Taylor Pitt, Cameron Pitt, Kira Dunn, and Mara Dunn; three great grandchildren, Cataleya Cochran, Gabriella Cochran, and Dahlia Landuit; and three sisters, Charlene Selby, Linda Landuit, and Roseanne Caparell.

Marcel was a member of St. Pius X Parish in Granger, IN, and a member of the United Auto Workers Union (UAW).  He was an avid Notre Dame girls’ basketball fan and enjoyed watching Washington High School football.  Marcel loved fishing, caring for his yard and mowing the lawn.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2026 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN, where Military Honors will take place.
