Lois F. Lesniewicz

Lois F. Lesniewicz, 90, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.  Lois was born on September 25, 1935 in St. Joseph County, Indiana to Roman and Frances J. (Zielinski) Walkowiak and was a lifelong resident.  She had been employed as an Interior Decorator at Sandock Furniture Store for 10 years and Cloud Brothers for 30 years.  On May 25, 1957 she married Melvin E. Lesniewicz, who preceded her in death on August 28, 2021.  She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Lesniewicz and a daughter-in-law, Karla (Vicsik) Lesniewicz.  Lois is survived by three sons, Kevin (Shelley) Lesniewicz of Wendell, North Carolina, Keith (Judy) Lesniewicz of South Bend, Indiana and Kerry Lesniewicz of Granger, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Kera, Kyle (Kate), Kailey (Colin), Elise, Ashley (Caprice), Nicole (Josh) Krempp, and Carter Lesniewicz; four great-grandchildren, Liam O’Connell and Leilani, Bryson and Ellie Peoples; her sister, Constance (Steve) Hardy of Osceola, Indiana; and her brother, Ralph (Pauline) Walkowiak of Glenview, Illinois. A visitation for Lois will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A Catholic funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Lois was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish and the St. Casimir Senior Club. She loved her family dearly and was very proud of them.  She especially loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother.  Memorial Contributions can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Center for Hospice Care.
