Linda Joyce Greathouse

Linda Joyce Greathouse, 70, of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 8, 1955 in South Bend, Indiana to the late George and Irene (Pap) Greathouse. Linda was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Greathouse and one sister, Carol Damron. She is survived by one daughter, Reneé Michelle Greathouse of New Carlisle, Indiana, her long-time partner, Lester Toothman of New Carlisle, Indiana, her great nephew Chance Knight of New Carlisle, Indiana whom she raised since he was a toddler, six nieces and nephews; Rob (Oksana) Greathouse, Maredith Greathouse, James (Lisa) Greathouse, Andrew (Ashley) Greathouse, Amanda Knight, Laura Lilgreen and many great nieces and nephews.

Linda had a huge heart for children and animals. She donated regularly to various Animal organizations. She enjoyed babysitting for her family’s children in her spare time especially Maddie, Trinity and Oriah.

A visitation for Linda will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St., New Carlilse, Indiana from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm in the funeral home. (Note all times are eastern standard time). Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society in Linda’s honor.
