Leonard P. Lawrence

Leonard P. Lawrence, 70, of Hudson Lake, Indiana passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in his home.  Leonard was born on September 6, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois to Lenoard W. and Rosemary (Foley) Lawrence.  He was the Owner of Lenny’s Newstand on 63rd and St. Louis Avenue in Chicago for fifteen years.  Leonard is survived by his sister, Kathleen (Daniel) Heidegger of Oak Lawn, Illinois; two brothers, William “Billy” Lawrence of Hudson Lake, Indiana and Daniel “Danny” Lawrence of Hudson Lake, Indiana; his nieces, Rosemary (Jason) Abbott, Jacquelyn (Geoff) Hamilton, and Patricia Heidegger; his nephew, Ryne Heidegger; great-niece, Emilia Hamilton; and his friends, Richard and Leslie Monroe.  A Celebration of Leonard’s Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. C.S.T. Saturday, October 11, 2024, in Monroe’s Crossing, 7038 N. Chicago Road, New Carlisle, Indiana.  Leonard was a graduate of Bogan High School in Chicago. He was a Chicago Cubs, Bears and Notre Dame fan.  He was Catholic and Christian and attended Road to Life Church in Michigan City, Indiana.  Leonard was a greeter for the Old School Tile Company. His best friend was Tommy Miles. Kaniewski Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
