Ladema C. McCarty

Ladema C. McCarty, 89, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at her home on Friday May 14, 2021. She was born on June 27, 1931, in South Bend to the late Robert L. and Wilma M. (Freel) O'Donnell and was a lifelong area resident. On November 8, 1947, as Ladema C. O'Donnell, she married Donald L. McCarty, who preceded her in death on July 15, 2015. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth McCarty and a brother, Lewis VanDusen. Ladema is survived by her two daughters, Rosemary (Kenneth) Arwood of Mishawaka and Frances K. McCarty of South Bend; two sons, Donald A. (Jeannie-deceased) McCarty and Matthew L. (Donna-deceased) McCarty, both of Mishawka; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters Opal O. Mahoney and Mary Ann (Robert) Sebens, both of South Bend; and by three brothers, Roosevelt L., Matthew L. and Dale D. O'Donnell, all of South Bend.
