Kevin Joseph Herma
Kevin entered his eternal home and finally saw his Savior face to face on Thursday, July 9th. He was born in June of 1964 and remained a lifelong resident of South Bend. As a child, he excelled in sports and in martial arts. He married Wendi, his wife of 30 years, on June 15, 1996. To their union were born four treasured sons, Keaton, Wesley, Braeden and Alleck. Kevin is survived by his wife; sons; father and mother, Thomas and Dorothy Dean; sister, Vicki (Todd) and numerous extended family members. Kevin was enthusiastic about sharing his interests in Bible knowledge, chess, portrait drawing, knife and star throwing, Taekwondo skills, military history, and sports, among others. He had a burden for the souls of the unhoused and regularly offered a bottle of water and a gospel tract. He will be greatly missed but we rejoice that we will be reunited someday. A Celebration of Life will be held July 18th at the Kaniewski Funeral Home from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Theresa Little Flower Catholic Church Food Pantry or Hope Rescue Mission, South Bend.
