Joyce E. Terrault

Joyce E. Terrault, 85, of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026. She was born on August 25, 1941 in Hudson Township to the late Andrew and Isabelle (Riffel) DeGroote. On June 28, 1969 she married Pierre Terrault who survives. Joyce is also survived by one daughter, Pam Owen of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, one son, Terry (Kim) Arnold of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, three grandchildren, Stephen (Cassandra) Owen II, Dana (Logan) Young, Jamie (Michael) Owen-Leets and five great grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Steve Owen, one grandson, Neil Owen and her siblings Dolores DeGroote, John “Jack” DeGroote, Robert DeGroote and Andrew DeGroote.

Joyce worked for the Whirlpool Corp for many years. She was a member of The American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in New Carlisle. Her hobbies included being an avid bowler for many years in a women’s bowling league. She was a very proud wife, mother and grandmother.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St., New Carlisle, IN from 12:30 pm EDT until 1:30 pm EDT. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm EDT. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Carlisle Women’s Auxiliary in Joyce’s honor.
