John W. Mullin

John W. Mullin, 62, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away at 1:16 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024, in IU Health University Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.  John was born on April 12, 1962.  He had been employed in the Maintenance Department at Hickory Village Apartments.  He had also been a Certified Auto Mechanic for many years.  John is survived by his daughter, Tara (Jordan) Metz and his former wife, Ann Beissel both of South Bend, Indiana.  He was preceded in death by his father, Harold E. Mullin, who passed away on October 27, 1990. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2024 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  A visitation will take place from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.   John served in United States Army where he was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.  He enjoyed working on cars, listening to classic rock, garage sales, and the outdoors. John had a large collection of vintage German beer steins. He also enjoyed watching movies and had a collection of over 1000 movies. Over the years John enjoyed the companionship of animals.   Memorial Contributions should be directed to The Wounded Warrior Project or the St. Joseph County Humane Society.
