James A. Griffith

James A. Griffith, 66, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 3:36 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022, in Memorial Hospital.  James was born on May 3, 1956 in Muskegon, Michigan to Arthur and Doris (Seaver) Griffith.  He retired on December 31, 2018 from American Copper and Brass in Coldwater, Michigan, where he was employed for 30 years as a Sales Representative.  On August 20, 2005, in Niles, Michigan he married Lynette B. Good, who survives.  James is also survived by one step-daughter, Jennifer (Dustin VanBruaene) Good of South Bend, Indiana; two step-sons, Adam (Jillian) Good of Mishawaka, Indiana and Eric (Allison) Good of Granger, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Isaiah, Rachel, Lucas, Olivia, Addison, Harper and Liam; three brothers, Paul (Sue) Griffith of Big Rapids Michigan, Daniel Griffith of Muskegon, Michigan and John Griffith of Grand Haven, Michigan; his nephew Aaron (Jen) Griffith; his niece, Alicia Griffith; and several other nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents.  A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., with Funeral Services to follow on Saturday, May 14, 2022 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.  James was a member of the Christian Center Church. He played trumpet and harmonica on several worship teams in West Michigan churches.  He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, kayaking, and handyman projects. He enjoyed construction and built his own home. James loved spending time with his family.
