James Lemon

James ‘Jimmy Joe’ Joseph Lemon, Jr., of South Bend, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2022; he was 63. Jim was a loving son, father and grandfather. He was a proud veteran of the Air Force. Jim always touted his love for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was an avid fisherman and loved participating in tournaments with his mother and friends.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, James Sr. and Virginia; son, Benjamin and wife, Lauisa; daughter Sarah, and youngest son, Joshua. He was a proud grandfather to his three grandchildren: Hayden, Hanna and Canon.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia McGuire; brother, Raymond Lemon and his grandson, Connor Lemon.

Jim loved all of his family and friends and would do anything he could to help them out. His goal was to make anyone laugh with his crazy sense of humor and silly faces.

There is no memorial service scheduled. The family held a private gathering where we shared our feelings, laughed, and celebrated his life the way he would have wanted.

We will miss him dearly.
