Hubert Paul Bowers

Hubert Paul Bowers, 87, of North Liberty, Indiana passed away at 7:34 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2026, in his home.  Paul was born on April 29, 1939 in Russiaville, Indiana to Ulysses Samson Grant Bowers and Joan (Myers) Bowers.  He retired from the Teamsters and was an Owner Operator Truck Driver.  On October 12, 1963, in Holy Cross Church, South Bend, Indiana he married Joyce Ann Durski, who preceded him in death on August 22, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy L. Eggert.  Paul is survived by his son Troy (Rosie) Bowers of Plymouth, Indiana; three grandchildren, Shayla Eggert, Stephanie Bowers and John Bowers; three-great grandchildren, Kendall, Ben and Timothy; his girlfriend, Stephanie Reavis; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2026 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana.  Burial will follow in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.  Paul enjoyed Karaoke, playing cards and riding motorcycles.
